A Place to Gather and Grow

Over the last 60 years, TMS has grown from a small Montessori program into the leading, multi-campus independent school we are proud of today.  Students thrive in academics across all levels while developing the life-changing mindsets of positivity, resilience and entrepreneurial thinking.  But one thing has remained unchanged since our current campuses were created – our dining facilities.

Through your generosity, we will raise $1M to support building beautiful, sustainable, and inspiring dining spaces at both the Lower and Upper Schools that will provide convenient access to nutritious meals each day, for our students, staff and faculty.

Healthy, nutritious food plays an integral role in our students’ ability to learn, grow and flourish. At every age and stage, access to wholesome meals can mean an increase in a child's ability to focus with sustained energy through the day. The added benefit is the convenience of having meals provided by the School which we know will remove the stress for parents in planning and preparing lunches each day.

Dedicated dining spaces will also provide our students with opportunities to gather, share and socialize – supporting their social and emotional well-being outside the regular classroom environment.  As with previous TMS expansion projects, these inspiring new and redesigned spaces will be showcases of sustainability (through programming and materials) and environments that build both community and tradition for years to come.

Through your generosity, we will build incredible showcase spaces at both TMS campuses for our Community to gather and dine.

This second phase of the Building Our Significance Capital Campaign will include the following:

Upper School Dining Hall, Classrooms and Courtyard

A new expansion will be added to the North Wing of our Upper School that will include a beautiful new dining hall, adjoining kitchen, an enclosed courtyard, and additional classrooms and offices on the second floor of the build. These new spaces have been designed with the same aesthetic and focus on sustainability as our Lower School expansion, further aligning our two campuses

Lower School Dining Space Redesign

The current Studio at the Lower School will be transformed into a flexible dining space for students, faculty and staff.  Additionally, the kitchen area will be expanded and redesigned to provide hot meals to our Lower School students each day and provide catering services for TMS events.

These projects have a targeted completion date of late 2022, with the plan to open to students and staff for use in early 2023.

Over the last 5 years, TMS donors have helped transform our campuses in amazing ways including:

  • The completion of Phase 1 of the Building Our Significance Campaign to create the new Lower School Atrium, Gym, and Grove outdoor learning space.
  • The installation of solar panels across both campuses through the TMS Solar Challenge Annual Giving Campaign.
  • The successful launch of the TMS Titan Fund which surpassed the year 1 fundraising goal to support:  campus expansion, classroom and hallway enhancements and innovative outdoor learning and sustainability projects.

We would be pleased to partner with you to build the most meaningful and impactful recognition to celebrate your gift towards our Phase 2 Campaign. All gifts over $25,000 will also be recognized on our Building Our Significance donor wall.
