Upper School - An IB Finish
As TMS aims to develop well-rounded students with a range of experiences, we have developed the TMS Pillars: Academics, Arts, Athletics and Citizenship. The Pillars are an opportunity to highlight, consolidate and celebrate students achievements. There are specific Pillars requirements from Grades 7-12 that challenge students, develop new skills and engage in their communities.
TMS provides abundant opportunities to start something new, join something fun or change something for the better. From service initiatives to sports teams, music, choir, drama and clubs of many stripes, students learn how to extend their reach and go beyond their limits.
Some students travel globally to places like Martinique to support communities in need. Others take action closer to home, helping organizations that support vulnerable children and youth. Yet others pursue their passion on the field, ice or court. Whatever their interests, students are encouraged to take risks and try something new – like the Grade 7 student who performed stand-up comedy for the first time at an Arts Night. Or the Grade 12 student who started running in borrowed shoes and finished 2nd at OFFSA in the 200-metre dash.
