Grade 10 Personal Project Celebration

The Upper School hosted the Grade 10 Personal Project Celebration. Our Grade 8 and 9 students got to hear the Grade 10s explain the initiative behind their project and their understanding of the global context. This was a great opportunity for them as they begin to prepare for their Personal Projects. The Personal Project is a significant piece of work in the IB journey that is the product of their own initiative and creativity.

Grade 6 and 7 Math Fair

TMS hosted the first ever Grade 6 and 7 Math Fair at the Upper School. Our students designed the most creative mathematical puzzles that put the TMS Community to the test.

Canadian Currency Redesign Unit

In the IDU Canadian Currency Redesign Unit, the Grade 10 students created their own versions of current Canadian money to further express Canadian Identity using a holistic approach. This year in particular, they are engaging in expressing Canadian Identity from the perspective of marginalized communities. Students selected individuals to feature on the currency to bring attention to important Canadians who may have been overlooked previously. Today the students pitched their finished products in a competition format to a panel of guest judges from the Bank of Canada and the RCMP. The judges selected the top 3 designs they felt showcased the best application of the updated bills and coins.
