Dear Discovery Day Camp Families,

It is with much regret that I write to inform you that we have decided not to operate Discovery Day Camp this summer. The requirements, restrictions and risks involved in planning and running a school-based camp this year are significant. Due to our high standards and requirements around issues of health and safety and the quality of camp experience we insist upon, we do not have the capacity or ability to move forward this year.

As a result, Discovery Day Camp will be closed for the 2021 Season.

Discovery Day Camp prides itself on delivering an excellent camp experience to our campers, camp families and our staff. We also believe that the summer camp experience is an important one and understand how disappointing this news will be for both campers and parents.

The safety and health of our campers, staff and camp community has always been our number one priority at Discovery Day Camp. The current expectations and requirements around health and safety mean that we find ourselves unable to staff and operate our camp in a manner that would provide us with the assurance and risk mitigation we insist upon.

Although we recognize this is very disappointing news we do seek your understanding.

TMS is committed to offering a truly excellent camp experience so we will be taking this time to consider what Discovery Day Camp could look like in coming years.

We thank you for your support and ongoing patience while awaiting our decision. We wish you all good health, and look forward to seeing you back at Discovery Day Camp in 2022.

Please stay healthy and safe!
