Admin Support - Learning Strategies

Reporting to the Office Manager and Learning Strategist, this position is responsible providing administrative support to the Learning Strategies team, and contributing to the overall administrative support of the School. This position is often the first point of contact with the Learning Strategies Dept. for students or others. The person will invigilate and manage testing, manage paperwork, and maintain comprehensive data on student accommodations and results. Work hours are 8 to 4 Monday to Thursday and 7:15 to 3:15 on Fridays.

Qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Post secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues, students, and parents
  • Exceptionally strong skills in problem solving, organisation, time management, and attention to detail
  • Advanced calendaring, word processing, and database management skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information and handle sensitive matters with discretion and compassion
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • CPR and First Aid Training is an asset

Full-Time Custodian - Lower School

Full-time Custodian

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, the Custodian will be responsible for day to day housekeeping, traffic control at afternoon “Kiss and Go” area and ongoing preventative maintenance at the Lower School. Duties will include but are not limited to: frequent cleaning and maintenance of washrooms, classrooms, offices and other public areas, conducting nightly security procedures, aid in the set-up/clean-up of school functions and assisting with traffic flow.

Qualifications, experience, and attributes:

  • Able to work steady evening weekday shifts from 3:00pm – 11:30pm (summer hours may vary)
  • Previous custodian experience is considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Physically able to perform a full range of cleaning duties including the ability to lift 25 lbs. and to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Experience in heavy duty custodial work (e.g. stripping and waxing floors) is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • CPR and First Aid Training is an asset
  • A current Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check
